Laila Belle Is Here!

Our Little Miss is here!!

Laila Belle was born at 12:58 a.m. on 11/12/10 (cute huh?) she was 7lbs 14oz and 21 in.... and absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!!

I couldn't have asked for a better support team, and labor nurse...Plus my doctor! Blessings galore! 

Birth story:

On Wednesday I went in for my doctors appointment, hoping to set an induction date because this sweet little girl was not budging and I was 3 days past my due date, and SO DONE! When my doc came in, she didn't seem very "promising" about setting an induction date, but said she would see how things were progressing...

I was 3 cm dialated, and she said, LETS GET YA IN TOMORROW! (she was on call!) Praise God! We were SO excited. Thankful for a great doctor, who wanted the best, safest delivery... Really wanted her to be the one to deliver her, so I guess Laila just was cooperating to wait till she was there. (she had been gone the whole previous week on vacation) 

Thursday, we were scheduled to be at the hospital at 9 a.m. unfortunately, they called at about 7:30 a.m. and said, WE ARE SO BUSY, can you come in later... So after waiting I got to go in at 12:30, and by 2... I was in labor. From 2 to 7, it was WONDERFUL. It went so smoothly, till about 7 when my body was kicking in with the pitocin, and my contractions were piggy backing each other and was not getting much of a break. So I asked for an epidural... Two hours later... the anesthesiologist came in just in the nick of time (he had been in an emergency c-section) my body was shaking SO bad from the adrenaline and hormones... I had heard soo many stories about epidurals, I was SO scared for that part... but it was AMAZING. I didn't feel a think when he was doing it, and well... an hour and a half after I got it, I went from 5 cm dilated to 10cm, and was ready to push! It was awesome! After an hour and forty five mins of pushing, she was here... SO PERFECT! We are so in love. 

Was so thankful for my wonderful husband, awesome women there helping, an AMAZING cute sweet nurse and my doctor!

She checked out perfect... and is just sweet as a bug! Even our doctor told us, "I have delivered a lot of babies (she's been doing it for probably 30ish years) and yours is abnormally cute." Yep... we think so too!
