This past week has been, well, hard. Plain and simple.
Wednesday I woke up with a swollen, achey hand... found out I had carpal tunnel...
The next day, swollen right hand.... two swollen hands, retaining water :(
By Saturday, Swollen, achey hands and feet! NOT fun! by Sunday, STILL swelling, so I checked my blood pressure, not good. Went into the hospital blood pressure was up, but went down as I sat there, NOTHING. I felt well, stupid... The doctor reassured me, you can never be too careful at this point, but still TUFF.
Today, I was hoping for some good news. It was doctor appointment day... I got NOTHING. She said I was dilated, maybe a half cm. more... still only 30% effaced. NOTHING CHANGED.... Did I mention that last week I did EVERYTHING to try and get her movin' ... Yet still... NOTHING. Oh did I mention swollen left ribs... Ya that too...
Today I am feeling "down" frustrated and VERY tired. The honeymoon phase of pregnancy is definitely OVER. So we continue to wait... Knowing, yes she will come at the perfect time (honestly, tired of hearing that, but I know its true)
Waiting, not so patiently now...

Hang in there sweetheart! I know the end is hard!! Now, I'm sure at this point you're getting lots of advice... so I won't go overboard. :) But do you have a breast pump? My midwife told me to use one and "breast stimulation" brings on labor. I was totally skeptical and didn't do it... but then on the day I went into labor, my contractions slowed at one point. I got out that breast pump and *boom* the contractions picked up again IMMEDIATELY. Within 1/2 hour I was off to the hospital! I know I was already in labor at that point... but still, she did say you can use it in the days leading up to it and it helps. Next pregnancy I'm totally going to take her advice and try it! Other than that, just try to stay as rested as you can. Bubs doesn't want to come out when you're nervous and stressed. And do you drink wine? You can also have a glass of wine now - one glass of red wine at night with a bath. (Or just 1/2 glass.) Good for relaxing mommy! (My midwife recommended that one too!) Thinking of you and praying for you! It will be SOON!!! x
So excited for you guys!!!! can´t believe she´s already almost here! time has flown by!!!!
