God's Perfect Timing

Jesse and I were talking on our drive home from the valley this weekend, and were talking about "God's prefect timing." SO evident in our lives...

We met, while I was under a "no dating" rule. While this rule is controversial... I have many arguments for both side. I realized now, that without it... Jesse probably would have never given me a second look. I was young, very young. But he was forced to get to know me, and slowly fall in love with me for 9 months while I was off limits... God's perfect set-up.

Once that 9 months was over, you can bet we started dating, the day we could :) God's perfect "quick start." We were already BEST friends, and knew, we really wanted to be together...didn't have to "discover that."

4 months later, engaged. Almost 2 years ago (Sept. 28th) YAY! Perfect timing... Any later, I would have freaked. :) Kept my sanity :)

4 months later... Married. We had NO idea truly, what our first year of marriage was about to hold. Although there were many "nay-sayers" about our relationship... (although none of them were key people with any say in our lives...trust us, we listen to those) God was about to prove them wrong (also proof you don't have to prove anything to anyone, when you know it good, and you know its God's plan...he will show them!)

A short 5 months later, we walked through the valley of the shadow of death. Truly. We watched my Dad fight for his life for months. Without Jesse by my side...I would truly be a mess. He held my hand, held me when I cried, and walked and stood strong next to me during the "after shocks" of dealing with not only a traumatic experience one in my life, but also, dealing with skeletons in my closet I had stuffed away from loosing my Mom at a young age...
(dad leading worship a little over a year after his stroke)

Now, pregnant. Although it wasn't truly "our timing" we thought we would start trying and be just newly pregnant or trying by now... but here I am, 7 weeks till our sweet little girl joins us... God's perfect timing. Now seeing if we would have waited, Jesse probably wouldn't have moved forward and be pursuing his dreams. We wouldn't have moved while I was pregnant, but now we don't have to. She wont be that old (about 2 months) when we move. At least I get my dream. To have one of my babies in Bend, and our parents get to enjoy her (even if for a short time) in a much closer distance... THANKFUL!

God's timing is perfect...

Great story!

Fun to hear your "love story", as there are similarities to Josh & Hannah. They were best friends for over a year before they started dating. That is the best way to start a relationship. Now, they are engaged ... and they are young ... and there are naysayers. But, we couldn't be happier for them, because we so totally believe that this is God's will for their lives.

Oh my ... this mama can't wait until the grandbabies start coming. :)

You are BLESSED!!!
